Job Description

Role Mandate:


The E-Comm Investigator will be accountable for all aspects of Asset Protection as they relate to the corporate objectives.  The incumbent will have the ability to work productively with associate groups within the corporate environment to ensure all objectives are clearly communicated and executed.  The E-Comm Investigator will be the resident expert and will earn the respect of the team through the knowledge and understanding of the day-to-day running of the business.  In a dynamic fast paced environment the incumbent will be adaptable and decisive with a hands-on approach ensuring consistent and timely execution of all Asset Protection objectives.  The E-Comm Investigator will have a proven track record of searching out operational deficiencies as they relate to Asset Protection and the ability to apply effective solutions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively assist in the co-ordination of the timely and accurate execution of all  Asset Protection initiatives as per Company standards
  • Be a role model to the team and others
  • Protect the assets of the Company
  • Perform covert investigations
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration to meet objectives
  • Develop a rapport with the internal team
  • Conduct audits, support policies and procedures ensuring compliance
  • Monitoring of systems and procedures to detect internal dishonesty
  • Liaison with law enforcement agencies
  • Regularly communicate with associate and management
  • Excellent working knowledge of CCTV equipment
  • Duties are not limited to the above and may be modified as determined by the Asset Protection Manager/Director

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 Years Asset Protection experience or related field
  • Completion of recognized Law & Security course an asset
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of computers
  • Interviewing/Investigation skills
  • Full flexibility with schedule to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Detail oriented
  • Systems proficiency
  • Knowledge of Inventory process an asset
  • Knowledge of retail procedures and criminal/ civil proceedings
  • Valid Ontario Security License
