What This Position Is All About:
Under the direction of the VP, General Manager, the Managing Director or Assistant General Manager of Merchandise for Jewelry is responsible for managing and developing the top Jewelry clients of the store. They are also responsible for the development and execution the growth and acquisition strategy of Jewelry. The Managing Director will look to build relationships with the store’s top clients and partners with respective senior leaders to increase these clients’ engagement in fine jewelry.

  • You are a real self-starter, clearly self-motivated and can independently maintain your own work-flow to meet all deadlines.
You Also Have:
  • 4 year degree preferred. 
  • 5+ years of management experience with luxury retailer or comparable experience.
  • Complete mobility required.
As The Assistant General Manager, Merchandise, You Will:
  • Create and execute an overall strategic growth plan for Jewelry to drive client acquisition and outpaced sales
  • Leverage customer reporting in order to identify opportunities to increase client engagement and individual spend
  • Work with Selling Directors to analyze existing client base and define appropriate opportunities to acquire new customers and develop existing clients. Identify strategic and creative events that drive acquisition and increase customer sales.\
  • Drive use of technology and social media by the selling team to reinforce a proactive clienteling culture and to extend client engagement outside of the store
  • Cultivate strong ties to local community influencers to increase awareness of The Vault and drive client acquisition.
  • Develop Selling Directors to assemble a strong team that demonstrates consistent sales focus and sales oriented behaviors. Drive for the proactive recruitment of talent within the store to create bench for open positions.
