What This Position Is All About:

The Distribution Center IT Manager will lead the delivery of technical support services to all HBC Distribution Centers including providing prompt, and reliable technical support for computers, mobile devices, Scanners/RF Guns, Printers and all other technology used in our DCs. These daily support functions generally require immediate response and resolution. The support portfolio includes software, applications, hardware, and mobile device support. The Manager will be accountable for maintaining maximum uptime of all End User Supported hardware, software and peripherals. The Manager will be responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining technology standards and ensuring established policies and procedures are adhered to. The Manager will develop a world-class support team and foster effective communications between the support teams, users and upper management. The Manager will create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures as it applies to the DC Support teams. The Manager will develop and standardize the support models across all North American DCs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strength managing the daily operations of a Logistic Center IT Support or Desktop Support team.

You Also Have:
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus (i.e., MCSE, A+, etc.)
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience with Desktop Support Management and/or Logistics Center IT Management.
  • In- Depth understanding of desktop imaging technologies, networking protocols, topology, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, LDAP, ActiveSync, Air Watch and VPN.
  • In Depth Knowledge of Warehouse Automated Packing and Picking Technology such as Perfect Pick, Kiva and Swiss Log
  • In Depth knowledge of RF scan guns’ technologies and Manhattan OMS.
  • Prior Experience managing Logistic Center hardware and software.
  • Prior experience managing desktop support, wireless networks, and mobile devices, including MACOS, Windows, iPad, iPhone, and Android.
  • Experience with Google’s G-Suite a plus.

As The IT Manager, Distribution Centers, You Will:

  • Manage daily support operations in all HBC Distribution Centers with a team of 9-12 support analysts.
  • Drive the support team to provide effective results in resolving issues while providing exceptional customer service which will be measurable by SLA’s and Customer Satisfaction Surveys
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of mobile technologies, Desktop Operating Systems from Microsoft and Apple by serving as an escalation path for the support team.
  • Travel to all DCs and have regular touch base meetings with all DC Leadership to ensure that IT Support is providing exceptional services and support.
  • Availability for after hours, weekend, and holiday work is required depending on work volume, outages, and emergency situations.
  • Be on-call for Distribution Centers, 24/7 including major holidays
  • Maintain proper ticket handling procedures for the Logistics IT Team.
  • Train and grow the skill level of the Logistics IT Support Team
  • Work with management to build specific escalation processes with other IT Functions.
  • Establishes and maintains a strong internal IT structure to relay issues and quickly assembles a technical team to deal with issues. These issues need to be tracked and followed up on until permanent resolution.
  • Fosters working relationships and escalation POCs with other IT Towers such as Server, Networking and IT Security.
