What This Position Is All About:

 

The Technical Lead will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to help drive Loyalty strategies by solving technical challenges and maintain solid processes for the multiple Loyalty platforms.  This will help to drive an excellent experience for the Customers across for all HBC banners (Hudson's Bay, Saks 5th Avenue, Saks Off 5th and Lord & Taylor.

 

Technical Leads are equipped to handle a variety of technology problems varying from front-end systems, to integrations with back-end systems. You are well versed in multiple technologies and environments.  You are comfortable working closely with business stakeholders, solution vendors and other developers.  You will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges on a multi-component platform.  You thrive in a technical environment, behind a keyboard as well as within a brainstorming session. You will be part technical, part creative and feel comfortable coming up with ideas on how to provide the best solutions for the company. 

 

Who You Are:

  • A keen understanding servers & platform architecture
  • Understanding of security requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills and the ability to take an innovative approach to business problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork, sharing knowledge and expertise as it relates to the role.
  • Experienced with cloud based solutions, preferably, AWS
  • Experienced with API real time integration services. (JSON, REST, etc)
  • Knowledge of Informatica ETL processes.

 

You Also Have:

   

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in development of functional/technical specifications and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills and the ability to take an innovative approach to business problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork, sharing knowledge and expertise as it relates to the role.
  • Knowledge of Clienteling, CRM, and HBC sales audit processing solutions in a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of ETL, API's, SQL, Windows Server OS.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned work.
  • Sound ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. 

 

As The Technical Lead, Customer Facing Technology, You Will:

 

  • Determine simple solutions for complex business problems related to the Customer PII collection, Clienteling and other customer facing applications using visual mock-ups, context diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with software developers and technical teams to ensure the successful execution of user requirements.
  • Provides technical documentation to illustrate what is changing in the environment.
  • Assist developers and testers in defining and implementing new products and functionality enhancements.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem solving; producing quick and well thought out solutions.
