What This Position Is All About:
HBC seeks a visionary VP, Marketing Strategy with a proven track record of creativity, organizational leadership, and innovation at the highest levels of the fashion and retail industries. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing and Digital for the Saks Fifth Avenue Banner This position is responsible for leading, managing and executing banner marketing strategies and serving as the partnership hub between the store and the Marketing team with overall accountability for execution of all Marketing promotions for the banner.
The VP, Marketing Strategy will oversee and develop all annual and seasonal sales and promotions strategies and plans based on an understanding of the brand, retail environment, merchandising, and commerce priorities. In this role, he/she will need to be able to work effectively cross functionally. This is a leadership role and the candidate must be able to oversee the brand’s promotional strategy and development through the successful execution of marketing plans, events and achievement of desired business outcomes. He/she must have a strong business acumen and be able to lead and influence individuals and teams, while driving results through teamwork and collaboration within an integrated marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in either the fashion, consumer retail, or marketing industry. He/she will need to be passionate about retail, a cultural innovator and a leader in the industry to help us reinvent why consumers go to retail. The candidate will have a strong strategic orientation, excellent communication skills, and will be comfortable motivating, leading and inspiring in a matrixed environment. He/she will also need to be a strong collaborator and influencer with all levels of the organization, including executives.

Promotions & Marketing Strategy:
· Oversees all sales and promotions strategy efforts across Saks Fifth Avenue and manages the digital marketing budget.
Determine the strategy, priorities and tactics across all promotional levers, inclusive of public promotions, CRM-based offers, loyalty promotions, digital-only offers and partnerships with external parties (e.g., financial institutions) to maximize ROI and brand image
· Allocate the digital marketing budget based on ROI while balancing short and long-term revenue, EBITDA and customer goas
