What This Position Is All About:

Director, Network Operations will have direct responsibility in designing, configuring and supporting our international network. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of circuit design, monitoring and support of complex networks and working within a global environment.


Assumes overall responsibility for all projects within group. Directs and coordinates the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of projects, including the acquisition of hardware and software. Assigns staff, manages 3rd party engagements and directs their activities for the project. Provides operational support of the company store networks. Evaluates performance of staff and prepares reviews. Confers with software/hardware vendors and other third parties regarding new products, opportunities, problems, enhancements and implementations.


This role reports directly to the Vice President, Network and Telecom and is based out of the New York office.

Who You Are:

  • Experience with large-scale information systems projects and service delivery
  • Experience with SaaS Incident Management platforms such as PagerDuty or OpsGenie. Integration
  • experience with Solarwinds a significant plus.
  • In-depth understanding of core technology issues, including network protocols, cryptography, virtualization technology, Cyber threat and defense processes.
  • Expertise in design and infrastructure management. Service Provider experience a significant differentiator.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and/or Azure networking and security standards.
  • Experience in Network Security as it relates to network design.
  • Must be able to create enterprise level documentation with accompanying diagrams.
  • Experience standardizing processes, creating repeatable and measurable procedures and measuring for compliance and performance management is required.
  • Experience in PCI, SOC and ISO certification standards.
  • Infosec experience a significant plus

As The Director, Networking Operations You Will:

  • Make network upgrade and configuration recommendations based on performance metrics and capacity planning.
  • Develop and maintain a framework of policies and procedures (including: incident, problem, change, configuration, and capacity management) to ensure that standardized methods and best practices are utilized.
  • Drive resolution of high-severity outages impacting IT infrastructure. Provide problem resolution for highly complex infrastructure issues for enterprise infrastructure groups.
  • Establish metrics, key performance indicators and monitoring of the network and networking components.
  • Partner closely with other IT leaders and business leaders to optimize IT service design, delivery, and support.
  • Improve tooling and operational support processes and procedures.
  • Maintain all network related infrastructure to include: routing, switching, firewalls, VPN and wireless.
  • Monitor global alerts/threats and work with CISO and security team to protect the company network.
  • Additional responsibilities as required

You Also Have:

  • College degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required.
  • Minimum of eight years of Technology leadership experience - Information Systems, Networking, and Information Security experience in a medium to large enterprise or service provider environment.
  • 25% - 50% travel requirement to Jackson, MS with infrequent travel to Toronto, ON
  • Knowledge of multiple operating system environments, including UNIX, Linux
