What This Position Is All About:
Under the direction of the Selling & Service Manager, the Selling Specialist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and driving individual Sales per Hour (SPH) and the achievement of department sales goals. The Selling Specialist is the expert in their assigned area, while also maintaining knowledge of the entire store. The Selling Specialist demonstrates advanced product knowledge and is responsible for communicating product needs to management and helping train associates. The Selling Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer relationships through consistent client communication, scheduling appointments, and increasing units per transaction to result in increased sales and repeat business. The Selling Specialist is also responsible for the execution of department sales events.

You Also Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be goal oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and metrics.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and communicate effectively; sharing findings with management and notifying clients of new arrivals, promotions, and events.
  • Ability to work effectively using electronic clienteling system (M3), & POS cash register
  • Completion of department product knowledge training.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
  • 2+ years of sales experience preferred
  • Prior retail sales experience or a proven track record of success in a selling workforce with achieved results.
As The Selling Specialist, You Will:
  • Identifies customer needs through probing and listening; selects merchandise that meets customer needs. 
  • Builds the sale by suggesting additional merchandise.
  • Consistently demonstrates selling & service behaviors as defined by the WIN program.
  • Actively seeks input from customers and communicates findings to management to increase sales.
  • Acts as a role model by modeling selling behaviors.
  • Maintains focus on driving individual Sales Per Hour (SPH) and achieving departmental sales goals.
  • Achieves individual metrics in sales, credit acquisition, MORE acquisition and Units Per Transaction (UPT).
  • Clienteles by building customer relationships and loyalty utilizing company clienteling system (M3).
  • Maintains client list in M3 and regularly contacts customers to schedule appointments to view new arrivals and to shop during promotional events.
  • Product knowledge expert for their assigned department, advises customers on products and features, and trains staff on product knowledge.
  • Executes department sales events including pre-sale to achieve store sales goals.
  • Participates in the ongoing maintenance of the selling floor and fitting rooms through recovery as needed.
  • Adheres to Loss Prevention control and compliance procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
