What This Position is All About:


The Manager, Income Tax will assist the DVP, Corporate Income Tax on a variety of functions essential to the tax department to meet tax compliance and financial reporting requirements


Who You Are:


  • Strong analytical skills to review financial information and interpret it

  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Organized, Adaptable and results oriented


You Also Have:


  • Bachelor’s Degree and has a CA, CPA designation

  • 5+ years in a tax role, preferably working in a Big 4 Public Accounting environment

  • Experience with Taxprep software and tax research software such as TaxNet Pro and TaxFind (CTF)


As The Manager, Income Tax,, you will:


  • Assist in preparing the Canadian and consolidated tax provisions on a quarterly and yearly basis;

  • Assist in preparing submissions in respect of the Federal and Provincial income tax audits;

  • Prepare Canadian Corporate, partnership, trust income tax returns and Charity Information returns;

  • Research and analysis of various tax issues including drafting memos to file;

  • Delegate job tasks to the Tax Analyst, provide guidance/feedback and review the Analyst’s working papers

  • Assisting DVP, Corporate Income Tax on other ad-hoc projects
