What This Position Is All About:

The Divisional Vice President, Talent Acquisition is responsible for defining and leading HBC’s talent acquisition strategy to support the company’s continued growth and transformation and strengthen the recruiting model and related programs with a global team based in New York, Toronto, and Bangalore. S/he will be a high impact business partner to all business units and HR leaders and identify and address talent opportunities, implement sourcing tools and processes, further build on existing and established programs around diversity and employer branding, and assure highest level of service delivery and commitment to talent acquisition excellence.

  • You have strong executive presence, business acumen, consulting skills and the ability to quickly assess a new environment and develop solutions that support the business strategy and operations, critical objectives, and cultural norms.
  • You are creative with a strategic mindset along with the ability to interpret market conditions and turn concepts into action.
  • You have strong leadership, relationship building and influencing skills and can effectively coach leaders and the team.
  • You possess a player/coach mentality and are capable of thinking strategically as well as rolling up your sleeves and getting into the work.
  • You are confident that you can be a change agent who is flexible, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic, rapid paced environment.
  • You will embody a culture of taking smart risks and innovating to win.

 

You Also Have:

  • 15+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 10 years in talent acquisition 
  • Experience recruiting in a customer-facing / consumer service industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in relevant discipline


As The Divisional Vice President, Talent Acquisition, You Will Focus On:

  • Driving Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement a talent acquisition strategy to attract top talent into the organization, ensuring a smooth process for internal clients and candidates. Continue to define new strategies and tactics for identifying, engaging, and hiring the best talent. Build robust talent pipelines that tap into targeted universities, networks, and communities. Create an exceptional candidate experience that represents our employee experience.
  • Team Development: Foster a team culture of sharing and contributing knowledge and best practices such as market conditions, emerging talent acquisition strategies, continuously improving the candidate experience, and evolving plans to meet the needs of the business. 
  • Performance Measurement: Leverage KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track the progress and overall effectiveness of the team.
  • Partnership and Relationship Building: Develop key partnerships with the business and cross functional groups (e.g., HR business partners, hiring managers, compensation) to ensure strategic, operational, and quality goals are achieved. 
  • Improving and Implementing Processes: Translate the overall Talent Acquisition strategy to supporting processes to meet performance goals and metrics. Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes and leverage technology and tools to enhance the talent acquisition experience.
