What This Position Is All About:

Creative Operations is a function of Project Management helping to manage resource planning, scheduling and internal processes within the Hudson’s Bay Creative Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Creative Operations, the associate is responsible for helping the larger Creative team deliver high quality projects on time, budget and strategy.


Who You Are:

  • Experience working across multiple platforms including print, digital, photo, and video
  • Basic knowledge of adobe software (Acrobat, Indesign, Photoshop)
  • Knowledge of pre-press, printing and publishing processes, and web and media requirements as asset
  • Resourceful, articulate and organized with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work on a multitude of tasks while staying focused under pressure and prioritizing
  • Highly adaptable; willingness and keenness to “jump in” and help where required
  • Ability to interact, communicate and build relationships with all levels 
  • Knowledge of Creative functions and the timing involved to accomplish tasks
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to negotiate and influence others in stressful and sensitive situations
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with large teams in a fast-paced environment

You Also Have:

  • 2+ years of creative operations/production experience
  • Strong project management skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Strong understanding and experience with development of creative across channels
  • Resourceful, articulate and strong time management and problem solving skills
  • Strong Excel and Google Suite skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Project Management or similar field

As Specialist, Creative Services, You Will:

  • Handle resource management of creative team
  • Process and project management (meetings, briefings, asset management etc.)
  • Assist in managing the master resource and project calendar
  • Assist in scheduling and setting the agenda for project kick off/weekly status/review meetings within the Creative team
  • Attend all project briefings, ensuring clear notes are taken, and assist in sharing details to the project leads
  • Assist in asset management where necessary including status reviews and managing project files and folders
  • Partner with Project Management and other internal teams to both understand and follow up on the needs of each project coming into the Creative team
  • Partner with external vendors on various assignments, acting as liaison with meeting coordination, asset delivery, and more
  • Assist in on-boarding any new or freelance team members regarding process
  • Some travel may be required to the Brampton office and studios
  • Assist in training and mentoring interns
